Today I have to test my kiln

A few months back I had an issue with my melting furnace. I use this for melting down the metals to pour into the casting flask. This happened at the end of a burnout, which is where I have my casting flask in the kiln, slowly boost it to 1475 degrees to incinerate the models and to cure the plaster, called investment in casting. The whole project was ruined.

Fast forward to a couple months after this and I was able to replace the melting furnace with the help of a friend. I was all set to cast again. I created a sprue tree, basically a wax stick with branches holding the models I wish to cast. I then poured the investment into the flask and waited until it had hardened. I placed the flask into the kiln and it wouldn’t turn on. Turns out, I had to replace the switch. 3 switch purchases later and here we are, getting ready for test day. crossing my fingers no further issues.
